Britta Baker is a visual artist, specializing in painting, photography, and printmaking (and hand-plastered walls, but that’s a different story!). She recently began delving into natural pigments and painting techniques in an effort to ‘green’ her artistic practice.
She draws inspiration from the natural world, fueled by time spent living in Alaska, Montana, Utah, and now North Carolina. She often focuses on under-appreciated details, objects, plants and creatures, and is especially fascinated by bones – their sculptural forms, their strange beauty, and the way their function so literally shapes them.
